DAY 1 – Tuesday, October 6 – Depart the USA and fly to Tel Aviv. Overnight: Flight to Tel Aviv.
DAY 2 – Wednesday, October 7 – ARRIVAL IN ISRAEL – Arrive safely at Ben Gurion International Airport on LH 694 landing at 7:15PM. Welcome by our representative, assistance with arrival formalities, and after claiming luggage drive to Tel Aviv "the city that never sleeps". Check into the hotel, free time to relax and acclimate and then enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation. Hopefully get a good night's sleep.

DAY 3 – Thursday, October 8 – JOPPA–CAESAREA- MT. CARMEL - MEGIDDO-NAZARETH – After breakfast and check out explore Joppa (present-day Jaffa) from which Jonah departed before being swallowed by the whale. Our main point of interest is the House of Simon the Tanner, on whose roof Peter had his vision that led to the baptism of Cornelius. Drive along the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea where we'll explore the ruins of the Roman and Crusader cities; built by Herod the Great, Caesarea is where Paul was imprisoned and tried and where Cornelius was converted to Christianity. Stop for a falafel lunch and then continue to Tel Megiddo, also known as Armageddon, to see the remains of King Solomon’s Stables, an altar from the time of Abraham, and the magnificent water tunnel. Visit Mt. Carmel (First Kings 18), site of Elijah the Prophet’s dramatic contest against the false prophets of Baal. Continue to Nazareth, stopping on Mt. Precipice to look out over the city where Jesus spent most of His childhood. Drive past Kfar Cana, where Jesus performed the Miracle of Wine and we'll finish the day at our hotel by the Sea Galilee.

DAY 4 – Friday, October 9 - SEA OF GALILEE – After breakfast we'll begin the day at Mt. Arbel for an overlook and orientation of the area. Then we'll drive to Magdala, the new archaeological site of the Village of Mary Magdalene. Stop to view the ancient wooden boat much like the one used by Jesus and the disciples exhibited at Nof Ginosar. Enjoy a St. Peter's fish lunch and then continue to Capernaum, where Jesus began His Ministry, and walk through the ruins of an ancient synagogue. Continue to the Heptagon Church at Tabgha and view the beautiful mosaic floor which depicts the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish that took place here. Visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount and then end the day by sailing across the Sea of Galilee. Afterwards we’ll return to the hotel.

DAY 5 – Saturday, October 10 – UPPER GALILEE- GOLAN HEIGHTS – Following breakfast drive north to the Upper Galilee and visit Tel Dan where the tribe of Dan disobeyed God's order and created a golden calf. We'll then continue to the Golan Heights and visit Caesarea Philippi, the Banias, one of the contributory streams of the Jordan River and where Jesus declared Himself to St. Peter. After lunch on own drive through the beautiful Golan Heights and stop at Oz 77, site of a major battle during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Then arrive again at the shores of the Sea of Galilee, this time to visit Kursi, where Jesus drove the swine into the sea. Stop at the Yardenit Baptismal site, for a baptism in the Jordan River and then return to the hotel.

DAY 6 – Sunday, October 11 - BEIT SHEAN – JORDAN VALLEY – After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive to the northern part of the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean, the largest archaeological site uncovered in Israel where we'll explore the ancient Roman city with its reconstructed amphitheater, buildings and streets. Continue via the Jordan Valley, with the mountains of Jordan to the right and drive past Kasr el-Yehud, which many consider to be the exact spot where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, the ancient city of Jericho, and arrive at Qumran, on the northern shores of the Dead Sea Basin, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a Bedouin boy almost 80 years ago. Continue to the hotel and check in. Free time to relax and enjoy the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea.

DAY 7 – Monday, October 12 - MASADA - EIN GEDI – Following breakfast depart for Masada, the site of the Zealots' last stand against the Romans. Masada was originally built as a magnificent fortress and palace for Herod the Great and you'll be able to view the bathhouse, storage rooms, mosaics and the Byzantine Church. Those able can descend via stairways and see Herod’s Hanging Palace. Ascend and descend via cable car and after lunch on own take a short hike at Ein Gedi, the largest oasis along the western shore of the Dead Sea and the area allotted to the Tribe of Judah and famous during the reign of King Solomon; this was also one of David's main places of refuge as he fled from the wrath of King Saul and where he wrote many of the Psalms. Return to the hotel and rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities.

DAY 8 – Tuesday, October 13 – INN OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN – BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM - After breakfast check out of the hotel and begin the ascent to Jerusalem. Drive north from the Dead Sea Basin and stop at the Inn of the Good Samaritan for a short visit. Then continue to Shepherds' Field and to Bethlehem, city of Jesus' birth, and visit the Church of the Nativity. After lunch on own enter Jerusalem and ascend to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent view of the Old City. Descend via the Palm Sunday Path to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations to spend some time in the private Prayer Garden before walking down to the Kidron Valley. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where St. Peter denied Jesus 3 times by the time the cock crowed. Finally proceed to Mt. Zion to visit the Upper Room (Matthew 26), the traditional site of Jesus’ last Passover meal, or the Lord’s Supper, and the Tomb of King David.
Check into the hotel.

DAY 9 – Wednesday, October 14 – JERUSALEM'S OLD CITY & THE FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH -- After breakfast we'll return to the Old City and visit the City of David, King David's original capital and the oldest part of Jerusalem, continuing from there to the Southern Wall Excavations and Southern Steps where Jesus turned over the tables of the moneychangers. Stop at the Western Wall, the most important site in Judaism, with the Golden Dome of the Rock just above on the Temple Mount, followed by lunch on own in the Jewish Quarter. Walk through the Cardo, Byzantine Jerusalem's main business thoroughfare, and then walk along part of the Via Dolorosa, noting the final stations leading up to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where many denominations believe is the actual site of the crucifixion and resurrection. After a visit to the church enjoy some free time to shop in the Arab bazaar.

DAY 10 – Thursday, October 15 – YAD VASHEM – ISRAEL MUSEUM - Following breakfast proceed to Yad Vashem, Israel's main Holocaust Memorial and Museum. After lunch on own visit the Israel Museum and view the Dead Sea Scrolls preserved and presented in the Shrine of the Book, as well as the Model of Ancient Jerusalem. Drive out of Jerusalem to Tel Shiloh where the Tabernacles stood for 4,000 years. Return to Jerusalem.

DAY 11 – Friday, October 16 – GARDEN TOMB – Following breakfast start the morning at the Herodian, monumental grave of Herod the great, overlooking Bethlehem and learn about the king by right and the king by might. Time for last sites and shopping before going to the Garden Tomb, where we will have time for prayer and to take communion. Enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel.

DAY 12 – Saturday, October 17 –- BACK HOME - Early morning check-out and then transfer to Ben Gurion Airport to check in for the departure flight to the USA, LH 695 departing at 7:55AM, hopefully with many unforgettable memories!
