The Jewish world & the Jewish people.

Episode 1 – The formation of the Jewish faith. What were the main characteristics of the Jewish religion? The two faces of Judaism – a national face & the religious one.

Episode 2 – The three main Jewish holydays – Passover, the feast of Tabernacles & the feast of Weeks. What was the nature of the holidays in the days of the Jewish Temples? The journey of a Jewish pilgrim to Jerusalem & the main traditions and customs related to the main holydays.

Episode 3 – Other Jewish holydays. Some of the celebrations in the Jewish world were commanded in the Scriptures, while some are related to Jewish historical events, like Hanukkah. What were the circumstances for each of the historical celebrations and the other Biblical feasts?

Episode 6 – The Jewish family. From birth to grave, the Jewish way of life follows a wide set of rules, customs, traditions and commandments. What would be the Jewish family's way of life in light of the multiple regulations? The main events in the family's life – The Circumcision (Brith), Bar - Bath Mitzvah (The Jewish boy's – girl's coming to an age ceremony). The Jewish wedding. The Jewish funeral, etc.
